#1284 Alert window about caught exceptions

When getting an exception the following two things seem to be wrong with the alert window (see figure):

(1) I cannot cut&past the call trace for the exception with proper newlines in it. Everything is in one line, which makes it hard to past it to a bug report
(2) When closing the alert window, the startup-logo remains and nothing happens --- you have to kill the process manually from the process table
