I am using JabRef 2.9.2. I wanted to export a database in BibTeX format from command line. It works with the -o flag, for example
jabref -o references_new.bib -n true references_old.bib
Since no format is explicitly specified, it assumes BibTeX. But if I want to make any selection with the -m flag, such as
jabref -m author=Davidson,references_new.bib -n true references_old.bib
it does not export in BibTeX format any more. Instead the output file is in HTML. Hopefully this can be fixed easily.
P.S. I also have a quick question (or maybe a feature request). Is it possible to abbreviate journal names from command line? I cannot see how this can be accomplished in the current version. That would be an awesome feature.
