J2EE Fusebox Application Framework / News: Recent posts

While there hasn't been consistent releases for a while, work on J2EE Fusebox has been very active. The latest release consists of several months worth of changes resulting from usage and testing. Look for more releases within the next couple of weeks as new stuff is added and bugs are fixed.

A newer version of the Fusebox (J2EE) Architecture document has been released. This document is still very much a draft. There is a lot of work to be done before a first version is finished. The document would definitely benefit from some collarboration.

The newest version of the core-files have been updated. The core JSP files now work off of fbx_fusebox301.jsp (Fusebox 3.01) and the download includes the .java source for the API and Tag classes. Enjoy.

A sample application is avialable for download. It's pretty rough in a lot of ways. It is encouraged for anyone feeling ambitious to grab it, improve upon it, and post it. Maybe it'll get you on Stacy's "Owed-Beer List". :)

An incomplete, DRAFT version of the JSP-Fusebox architecture is available for download. It is a work in progress, and there's a lot more information that will be added to it. Hopefully it does provide some helpful information at this time.

Thanks to Ben we've got the opportunity to take a crack an early (actually the first) release of the FB3 framework! Check out the Files section.

I've posted some code containing the core fbx files, a jar, and and some other sample files. Drop the the contents of the 'jsp' directory (containing fbx files and the web-inf directory) into the root Tomcat and it should run. I'll be releasing the code for the java files soon and an architectural document a little later.

Coference call took place today with Tom, Ben and Wells from Synthis ( http://www.synthis.com ) concerning the initial stages of Fusebox on the Java platform.

Paul Johnston and myself had a good chat with these gents. Basically in an attempt to outline our goals for this framework and how we can initially get rolling...

Project is in it's early stages. Community-centric, volunteers and anxious coders welcome.
