Dear list members, I'm new to this (new) list, and I thought it would be good practice to announce my presence here. My name is John, but I hang around here under my internet personna which is Colwing. I'm British, but I've lived more years than I care to remember in the Netherlands. I'm the guy that made the initial stab at translating JTrac into Dutch; since it's not my mother tongue don't expect it to be perfect (should have got my kids to put it right, but that would have been too embarrasing). Verbeteringen door een echte taalkundige zijn zeer welkom. In my day job over the years I have used several commercial and free tools for managing and tracking bugs, issues, incidents, changes, etc. JTrac is just what I have been looking out for for a while now. No complicated installation procedure and pre-requisites, simple and intuitive to use and configure, easily changed for different applications. Free, flexible, and highly functional, as well as well supported. In a short space of time I've become rather enthusiastic and probably a pain-in-the-neck for Peter. Let me encourage all you readers to contribute your time, criticism, bugs and ideas. It all helps improve what is already a rather impressive little package. Peter has put soooo much into this - he deserves your support. John. |
