I pulled it down for a project at Schering-Plough. The reason I pulled it down and actually started using it was because it is very simple and uncluttered, so as I evolve its use and functionality I'm not attempting to build anything I don't need.
Plus, I really like the way it just drops into Tomcat and deploys. That is still magic to me.
If it proves helpful and measurably more effective than other methods (including Access DBs and Excel spreadsheets and MS Project) then I might actually get some time to help out on the project officially.

We've JTrac 2.0 deployed in a Solaris/Tomcat environment against a MySQL backend, with jtrac-space definitions in production for our help desk ticketing system, systems & infrastructure project tracking, and ID administration. JTrac has been very versatile and agile, and we look forward to future improvements. We use a utility called MSSQL2MySQL to backup Jtrac, effectively replicating the MySQL data to MSSQL.

We are using Jtrac at in our organization (www.acclaris.com) to manage tasks and defects. We have choosen Jtrac because it is very easy to use and setup. But lately I am concerned because I am not seeing any bug fixes happening to the latest Beta version. Is Peter the only developer? Peter can you do a small writeup of the design so that we can pitch in with fixes?

The Power of Simplicity. Took 5 min to setup a few months ago and still going strong. Congrats to the developers for creating a great software solution, keep up the good work by keeping things simple!

1. For my own with a HSQLDB database. 2 Spaces more than 100 entries.
2. For a company (20 people) for issue tracking with a MySQL Database. One Space with more than 1000 issues.
3. For a company (100 people) with an oracle 10g database. Parameters: 50 Users, 10 Spaces, more that 1500 issues. The system was sucessfully migrated from an other system (thanks for the great Excel import).
I love it.
All installation are updated to an own compiled 2.2.0 version with some minor bugfixes. The bugfixes I made I shared in the patch section.

If you are using JTrac at work or otherwise, it would be great if you can let us know.

We use JTrac 2.0 about 1,5 years. 27 users, 13 spaces, average 12 comments in day. Great software thank you.
