    Hi,

Do we still need to change the registry keys in-order to successfully authenticate in Win 2008 and Win 7 when using j-interop 3.0 ?

    Thanks in advance !

    Rgds,
    dushank

    Hi Vikram,

    Really appreciated your quick reply.

What I meant was the following exception we used to get when accessing Wind 2008 or Win 7

    org.jinterop.dcom.common.JIException: Access is denied

Which was discussed in this thread

    https://sourceforge.net/p/j-interop/discussion/840678/thread/3be49d48/

I was able to access the servers after I changed the permission of the registry key "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID{76A64158-CB41-11D1-8B02-00600806D9B6}" as discribed in the above discussion.

My question is do we have to do the same on the J-interop 3 as well ?

    Thanks & Rgds,
    Dushan

      Hi,

Yes, these still need to be done.

    Hi Vikram,

    Thank you for your response.

Do you think we can get any proper solutions of this issue in near future ?

I've built a performance monitor and IP asset management application using J-interop and I'm dealing with 750+ windows servers in our DC. More than 70% of them are running Win 2008 R2 so it is not and easy task to change the registry permission

Or is there any work around you suggest ?

    Thx & Rgds,
    Dushan
