in the JFtp

public JFtp()
{
Log.setLogger(this);

// we have jesktop-environment
statusP.remove(statusP.close);
init();
}

statusP is null, it should check to see if it's null or
not:

if(statusP != null){
statusP.remove(statusP.close);
}

    Hello.

    I am assuming that what you are saying is that the code that
    you have posted here is what has led to a null pointer
    exception. I would appreciate it if you could give more details,
    such as a stack trace and what you were doing that led to
    this exception being thrown. But I've had these exceptions
    come up before and may be able to find out what might be
    causing this. Still, posting more details would facilitate any
    debugging that we can do, and will make it more likely for this
    to be fixed. So if you can post more details on this, then that
    would be good.

    J.K.

    After reading over this bug report again, I do apologize, but I
    did not read it over carefully the first time. Perhaps it was the
    source code at the end that threw me off, as it apeared to
    be one section of code and nothing more. So you may
    disregard what I previously mentioned about there not being
    enough details on this bug for us to fix it quickly enough.

    But a stack trace would be good, as would details about what
    led to this, as I personally have not seen this exception get
    thrown.

    Thanks for pointing this out, with what appears to be a little
    code that'll fix it.

    J.K.
