    Welcome to Open Discussion

I thought it may be useful to copy the forum posting from the developer area in to the Open Discussion, so people can see what activity is ongoing, and where stuff is..

I have updated the FAQ's on the mediaWiki https://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/iwbcff/index.php?title=Main_Page The list of Known Issues will have to wait till next week, as my net connection has slowed to a trickle, and I'm getting timeouts. Rob

I thought I'd posted the powerpoint presentations Steve used in the Webinar on the 27-10-09, but apparently I hadn't, so I have now posted those to the webinar folder. We have the questions from the webinar attendees, and I should be adding those to the FAQ wiki on Friday (6th Nov 09). I have edited down the recording of the webinar, but it's still around 50Mb, so I'm sharing it on Dropbox with those who couldn't connect to the webinar.

I've now posted the "library" to the file area. I have also posted the source for the viewer using the SVN which is all new to me. Rob

I have uploaded a range of files into the file area, there appears to be an issue displaying the files in the "Library" folder, so I will upload these again as soon as I can.

Currently the File area root directory has the common file format spec doc in three formats, .odt, .pdf, and .doc.

In the Board Viewer folder is a copy of the viewer-installer.jar, and the user guide in .pdf and .doc format. (I'll put an .odt version up asap)

In the Library folder is a copy of the library, and the guidelines for core applications.

In the Sample files folder is a zip containing 29 teaching sample files, which are existing whiteboard files that have been converted to the .iwb format.

The files chess.zip, circuitdrawingtool.zip, planting.zip and corsage_designer.zip are all hand coded files that I have created using original assets, and assets re-used from the NLN materials programme.

The Functiontestfiles.zip contains a wide range of simple files that were developed during the viewer build process, to test the rendering of specific aspects of the format. I think these may prove very useful in creating a set of test scripts to guage comformance.

Finally demo.zip is a multipage file that covers most of the functions, and was the one demoed by Stev Robbins in the developer webinar.

After reviewing the sample files a number of amends were suggested, and these have been made, and a new bundle of sample files uploaded to the sample file area… "IWB_30_sample_files.zip"
This contains a range of typical teaching files that have been converted to the IWB format.

I have uploaded a revised version of the IWB_element_test_suite-1_2

    It contains:
IWB_element_test_files_X_x.zip : a ZIP folder containing the element test files.

IWB_element_test_methodology_X_x.doc : a document outlining the test process.

IWB_element_test_user_guide_X_x.doc: a document containing screenshots of expected behaviours of each of the element test files, and a description of their contents.

IWB_element_test_checklist_X_x.xls : a spreadsheet that lists each of the test files in the order they should be opened, and the elements that are tested by each file.

test_assets.zip : a ZIP folder of assets for use in the create file test

exported : a folder to use to separate original test files from those exported by the application under test.
