This is a side-effect of the recent modifications to the
audio code. I tried different settings using test_ioctl
(mute,audio level, bitmask) but nothing seems to work.
When I rolled back to the old (~2 weeks) files the sound
started working again.
Pls let me know if you want me to do any testing.
My system configuration is:

I wonder if my proble is the same: when recording tv-shows
(PAL) with mythtv, sometimes I get audio, sometimes not.
Earlier (march-june 2003) audio was OK.
Please let me know if you want me to do some testing too!
