From there you could scroll through an arbitrarily long list of items, and perform the same action when you Accept as you would have directly from the menu? As for doing what you described, I haven't seen anything like this, but that doesn't mean it isn't possible. You want to dynamically change the contents of a menu while the menu is still open. With InterViews it would be possible, by traversing the list of MenuItem's and removing them as you, then inserting all the new MenuItem's, then a repair. I'm sorry, I don't have the exact API references handy, but the InterViews glyphs can be treated like a tree of structured graphics, and inserts and deletes done on the fly, and a repair invoked at the right place you will see what you want on the screen.
