    Hi everybody,

as long as TauVPN is running on my XP-SP2 notebook network-drives which are linked via the "net use"-command don't show up in the explorer. On the commandline i can switch to this drive and it is also accessible via "File open" in every application i tested.

    Any hints or workarounds?

    Thanks in advance.

I don't think that this problem is caused by TauVPN.
Does the name of the share end with "$"? In that case it might be invisible in the explorer.

Thanks for your reply but the share doesn't end with "$".
It worked until i installed TauVPN.
If i exit TauVPN end stop the service the share becomes visible again.

This is interesting, I'll do some tests. Is this happening from the moment when TauVPN service is running, or after establishing a VPN connection?

No, it's not necessary to activate a connection.

I don't have any idea. On my machines this phenomenon
      isn't there. (XP Home SP2 and W2k SP4)

Maybe i can test TauVPN on 2 other Notebooks next week. I'll report after i've tried it.

      Sorry, took a while.
I tested TauVPN on another Notebook - same effect, the shares become invisible. Maybe it is an interaction with another software running on this machines.
I got the VPN working now with vpn.ebootis.de.

      Nevertheless, thanks for your help.
