You should try the successor to IVC called the Network Workbench ( http://nwb.slis.indiana.edu ). Further, PFNET requires a network to be loaded, so you'll need to do a file/load and load a network (usually graphml, pajek .net, edge lists, or maybe nwb format). For q, the max you can put in is n-1. If you hover over the question mark b= y the parameter it will tell you the max number you can put in. For r if you put in 0, a value of 0 is taken to mean that the Minkowski metric is to be evaluated in the limit r -> infinity. The IVC developer's guide is at: http://iv.slis.indiana.edu/ivc/dev/ IVC plugins are built in Eclipse, so this should be a good introduction. Also, eclipse.org has many nice articles (and newsgropus) to read. You may want to consider checking out CIShell at the end of October. It is the next generation of IVC and will have many nice features and easier algorithm integration. There will be more IVC releases, they will just be a branded CIShell w/ InfoVis related algorithms. Did you download IVC or CIShell? If you downloaded IVC it should be in there. If you load in a graph however, you will need to convert it to a matrix using the item in the converters menu. If you downloaded CIShell, we will be having a release at the end of Octobe= r that should have Pathfinder Network Scaling available. I'll have to look at the code to figure out why this is happening. Try using the max value for r (infinity) which is done by putting r = -1, I think (there should be some info on the tooltip). The network analysis toolkit is now on the IVC Update Site. Please goto http://sourceforge.net/projects/ivc to download ivc and then go into Help->Update to get the network analysis toolkit plugin. Hello, I downloaded IVC today, and am trying to find a Porter Stemming Algorithm to use. I am aware of the package edu.iu.iv.preprocessing.porterstemmer, but am unsure how to go about using it, as I am new to this kind of sotware. Hello everybody, My first attempt in using IVC will be in trying to accomplish an LSA analysis of a document. I've readen this document as a reference http://iv.slis.indiana.edu/sw/lsa.html I've loaded a document from the sampledata folder, this document is called top250movies.xml. The file is loaded using the prefuse parser. Could you explain me or give me a few hints of what i should do after ?
