Hi Anek Seems like the Tomcat Version that is used is not compatible with your Java version. Try to ensure this compatibility and you should be fine. In most cases this means to use a more recent Tomcat version. Regards Marco |

Hi Jack Thanks for your feedback on itracker, and your request regarding reports. There is currently one report that could help as a starting-point: https://sourceforge.net/p/itracker/code/HEAD/tree/itracker/trunk/src/main/reports/itracker_issue_list_jasper.xml There seems to be some bug with certain data-sets in the pie-charts, but with some analysis, this should be fixable, I hope.. Reports are defined in the admin-section. You can run the reports from some places: Issue-List for a project, Issue Search results. You could also export an XML report (built-in) and then transform it externally, if that’s of any help. A good documentation would of course be good to have here, but there’s probably not so much demand. Best regards Marco |

Hi all, First of all, I would say ITracker is really good to use and easy to set up, but I can hardly find any Chinese document for reference. And It's hard to get English document as well. I set-up Itracker already on my server and it works fine. But I don't know how to create a Report Definition file for my project. I am all new to Jasperreports and JFreeReport. Can anyone help sent me a file for reference. Best Regards, Jack Wang |

Hey Marky: I'd totally missed your reply amongst the noise. I think the Itracker project is pretty much defunct these days. Just wanted to do my due diligence before allowing the domain to expire. I reached out to Jason as well and he's of similar mind. Hope all is well with you. What are you up to these days? Hi Maybe a compile-time dependency not resolved in the JSP? Check your server logs to get more details about the cause. Probably it is fixed in the current version. regards, Marco |

Hi To restore the admin user, you could try to remove the database entry which defines the user: DELETE from userbean where user where login='admin'; make sure the 'create_super_user' property is configured. -> then restart the application. on initialization, the application will check the property 'create_super_user' from the configuration.properties (or JNDI) and re-create the default admin if it is not present. this should be improved in the future, currently there is always an 'admin' user, which could be exploited when using an admin with different user-name and 'create_super_user' is enabled. then you should set a different password. regards, Marco |

Hello, I am wondering if someone can give me some indication why I am getting the error listed below. I have full administrator privileges, plus the Superuser gets this error trying the same actions. A org.apache.jasper.JasperException error has occurred: Unable to compile class for JSP. If the error persists, please report it to your administrator. I am trying to add a custom field under Admin> Configuration Administration when I get the above error. Also when I try to edit a field. Hello, Well, we've put a lot of energy into the last release and I guess that the core is not that bad now... it's already based on Hibernate and Spring and that part might need a service update to the latest versions now. I suggest to do that first, while staying backward compatible or migrate-able for existing users. Our organisation is using the itracker still and most people like the usability better than JIRA.. and that's not bad. I believe an isolated update to the latest Hibernate and Spring could easily be done, let's say by a team within a month. Regarding the GUI technology it needs a renewal based on the latest web technology. I suggest to stay in standards so that everybody knows the technology. The most important thing is to get as many developers as possible to know, what we are using. So JSF 2 would be the choice, because it's part of the JEE standards. For an easier migration, we could lift it alternatively to Struts 2. At least that's my position in the discussion. Of course you are allowed to fork the project, but as usual I think it's worth seeing who else might join or if it's better to join the core... Hi, I’ve been playing a Little with your great software. I’m fairly new to Java, Spring, etc. I’ve seen that 3.0.1 Version of iTrcaker supports Web Services API (View/Create/Update Issues), where can I find information about this? Is there any example out there? Best regards, Henry. |

Hi Ken, Thanks for sponsoring the itracker domain registration over the years. I don't have the resources to shoulder the registration fees. Unless anybody else is interested, I guess we'll just have to settle for the default itracker.sourceforge.net. -- Chris On Sun, Feb 7, 2010 at 4:47 AM, Ken Gunderson <kgu...@te...> wrote: > Greetings: > > Teamcool has been hosting DNS and "sponsoring" domain registration fees > for itracker.org ever since the Jason transition and I feel it's time to > pass that baton. > > I originally sent a head's up to this list back in August of 2009, to > which there was no reply. Greetings: Teamcool has been hosting DNS and "sponsoring" domain registration fees for itracker.org ever since the Jason transition and I feel it's time to pass that baton. I originally sent a head's up to this list back in August of 2009, to which there was no reply. Please be advised that the itracker.org domain expires 2/23/2010. I anticipate Itracker.org will likely be snagged by scalpers if someone else doesn't step up to the plate. Jason, if you're still lurking on this list, best wishes and I hope life is treating you well. Ciao--- Ken -- Ken Gunderson <kgu...@te...> |

Yes it should be perfectly compatible, it is platform independent in fact. You need to have MySQL and Tomcat-6 in addition to Java VM. |
