I wasn't a Combodo employee when this part of the default datamodel was built, so I can only guess :/
I imagine a "webserver" would be something like Apache Httpd ? So an application would be either a software installed directly on the server (I mean directly onto the OS), or a web application that is running "inside" the web server ?
