Hi iterm-discuss, So it looks like this project has been abandoned by the developers. I think it's worth saving, so I've forked it. For lack of a cleverer name, I'm calling it iTerm2. My version can be found at: http://iterm2.googlecode.com/ There is a download <http://code.google.com/p/iterm2/downloads/list> that includes some changes over the latest release version: - All the latest post-0.10 code from the original codebase, including a fix for the problem of iTerm progressively using more CPU over time - My own changes, including: * Command-F opens a firefox-style toolbar rather than a window that overlaps the content you're searching * Slowness on resize is gone. * Capslock doesn't break command-number to switch tab * A clear-screen code will not cause the screen contents to be lost; they're moved into the scrollback buffer now. There were some major changes, so consider this alpha-quality software at the moment. If you're interested in contributing to the project, please let me know and I'll be glad to add you to it. If you use double-width CJK characters, your help would be especially valuable. I'll try to copy bugs from sourceforge as I'm able, but if there's something that really bothers you, please file it in the new bug tracker<http://code.google.com/p/iterm2/issues/entry> . iTerm is dead. Long live iTerm! -George |
