#852 paste with right mouse button

No

From n*x shells and from PuTTY, I am used to paste contents, copied with the left mouse button, with the right mouse button. In iTerm, it displays a context menu > Paste. If one can choose in the Preferences to have the middle button to paste, an additional option would be to be able to paste with the right button instead. The context menu would appear then with the combination Opt or Cmd or Ctr and right button.

A duplicate of this request was submitted last year 31.01.2009 #2551894 «Allow user to choose mouse button for clipboard paste» and is closed? What does this mean?

iTerm allows you to paste by pressing the scroll button (middle mouse button?)

yes it does, but only if you have Exposé disabled. This is assuming one uses the scroll ball as the middle mouse button. A workaround is to assign the side squeeze buttons as «Button4» and paste like that.

But am so used from *n*x shells and from PuTTY to copy with the left mouse button and to paste with the right one that I'm missing this in iTerm... And since one can configure iTerm to paste with the middle mouse button, being able to configure pasting with the right mouse button instead would be great!
