I would put forward that the ability to "Enter Full Screen" needs to be integrated into various configuration elements.
(1) For example, I would suggest that it be an option configurable in the "Window" tab of the Info window, that then can be set as the default using the 'Update Default' button.
(2) Additionally, I suggest that it be an option for iTerm to automatically startup in full screen mode.
(3) Finally, it would be useful to essentially tell iTerm you only want to operate in full-screen mode, and to never be in windowed mode. Presumably this might be accomplished by integration of (1) and (2) along with, perhaps, the ability to then disable the "Enter Full Screen" toggle keystroke.
There are few applications out there that offer a full-screen terminal to Mac OS X users, and surely none with the level of development which iTerm is currently at. With a few minor additions such as described above, iTerm can greatly increase its attractiveness to those who prefer full-screen applications (a movement you can witness with the popularity of such applications as WriteRoom, mentions of "unitasking" on productivity blogs, etc.).
