As of 0.9.6.20090328, iTerm no longer remembers the window positions. Most users preferred the old behavior. It should be re-enabled, at least as an option. See https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2736180&group_id=67789&atid=518973

While the current version is probably an improvement for people who like to use tabbed windows, it's a huge drawback for people like me who prefer to use lots of separate windows.

A user preference for how many window positions to save would be good. This could combine the advantages of both schemes.

i think there is a patch diff that was created in ID: 2905335 - see https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2905335&group_id=67789&atid=518976 can we get that made available, please?
