Trying to connect AD clients on one servers via a separate server

We have two Windows servers (running 2008 R2 Standard) and the iTALC client computers (running Windows 7) are on Server 1 with an Active Directory (AD) whereas the iTALC 3 manager is on the other server, Server 2. iTALC 3 installed on server 2 and as iTALC 2 on the client (on server 1 with AD) without a fuss, but there is not connection between them.

Question: How do you connect iTALC's clients that are on in different OUs? I put in the MAC address and the IP for the client but still told 'host unreachable'.
