I am unclear on one aspect of iTalc. Does the application require that each computer have a static IP address in order to operate? I have heard that the Windows version does but the Linux version does not.
We currently run Windows laptops in our middle school classes and want monitoring capabilities. However, we run DHCP on our wireless network. We are considering going to a Linux based system for the students but if iTalc requires static addresses, it really wouldn't be much of a benefit for us.
Any info I can get would be much appreciated.
