#248 Demonstration mode does not work fine



I have installed Italc 2.0.0 (64 bits) on 14 Windows 7 64 bits PC. Most features work well except demonstration either in full screen mode or windows mode.
It works for a while. Then either ica.exe or italc.exe crashes on teacher's computer or a timer appears on client's screen (with a black background) waiting for the connection to be established. I tried many things : changing Symantec Endpoint Protection firewall rules, desactivating the firewall, changing the demo server backend but in vain.

    Try version 2.0.1 which was released some weeks ago. If the problem persists then post a comment.

    did it works if you change the VNC reflector into iTalc 1 demo server both on teacher and student machines?

      Finally, I had to completly shut down my computers (teacher and students) and start it then it works nice.

    I have the answer! I found it on a Youtube video by an Italian teacher. He uses a free VNC software called tightvnc to replace the vnc server. You install and make a couple of small changes to the TightVNC software and then a couple of small changes in the iTalc management server settings. It works great now for teacher demo and student broadcasted demos! The Video is in Italian but if you just watch it it is pretty clear what you do.
