 Mutt 1.5.24 with Maildir folder works fine. You have better to test
 operation of mbsync on Maildir folder with manual message deletion,
 because this list is not focused on Mutt and its bugs.

 Try other versions of mutt. I do not remember any problems with mutt
 in the past.
