Patrick Hartling and Kevin Meinert created an "auto-copyright" script 
that, I think, does what you want. A modified version of the original is 
checked into CVS in the midworld project. Take a look at the files in

midworld/tools/auto-copyright

Take a look at it and you can be super cool too! ;)
