I'm getting the error: HEAP[midworld.exe]: Invalid Address specified to RtlFreeHeap( 05130000, 05057668 ) Unhandled exception at 0x77f7f570 in midworld.exe: User breakpoint. When the game is on the loading screen, after the bar updates for the third time - what do I have to do to fix this? On the upside, I got the highlighting on the menu re-aligned with the new resolution. Just need to get into the game to make sure nothing else is screwy Thanks for your time, ttaM ____________________________________________ Matt Billock, Senior in Computer Science (515) 292-6172 AIM - temyrr President, ISU Hockey Pep Band Technology Committee Chair, Tau Beta Sigma (Theta Xi Chapter) "I will not eat them in Japan, with Godzilla and Rodan." |

We know for sure that the highlighting in the menu screen will be screwed up. You'd just have to modify the coordinates there so it looks right in 1024x768. Other than that, just make note of the things that get screwed up as a result of the change and fix the ones you can. cheers, ----- Ben Scott Research Assistant VR Juggler Team Virtual Reality Applications Center bs...@vr... |

Hi all- I'm calling a meeting tomorrow (Monday) 6-8pm in Howe 1304 (where we have our regular meetings). Please do not miss it. I'm going to be blunt. We have less than 2 1/2 weeks before this game needs to be complete. Currently, I am the only one effectively working on this game (with more than 3-4 hours put in a night). If you are serious about participating in this project and want to see it done in time to showcase for the IGF contest, you need to put in a similar amount of work. With the current progress, there is no way in hell that Midworld will get completed. So please, come to the meeting. When we talk about specific tasks, please don't say you'll do it and then just forget about it. I'll be asking each of you for time estimates on your work. We'll put it all together in a schedule and see if it looks like we're going to get done on time. If Midworld gets completed in time by Nov 1st, it will be well worth the lost sleep between now and then. Trust me on that. cheers, ----- Ben Scott Research Assistant VR Juggler Team Virtual Reality Applications Center bs...@vr... |

what is wrong with the turret textures again? I forget... And since it sounds like you are going to be working with separate pieces of a map, putting them all together starcraft style, do you need like different corners of concrete walls and stuff? I could make you north and west lit models of concrete blocks, and then you could flip and rotate them as you like to put together? I would also like to request, if you ARE going to make a map editor, that you have some way in the future of exporting the map to OBJ or something. Reason for this is then I can take it and light the textures and put it back together again ;) Or maybe I can light the pieces, and you can blend the shadows objects cast on the ground with the ground texture? Dunno if I'm making any sense here... Andres > What is the preferred model orientation? > > Ben Scott wrote: > > > > I put together a list of the models that we need for Midworld for Nov > > 1st. I'm sure that can be arranged. On the other hand, the Midworld team is rarely ever all together in the same place at the same time. We seem to have trouble matching up schedules. :) Sometime after Nov 15th would be nice too since we're really trying to squeeze in all of our extra time toward making Midworld complete for the IGF contest. cheers, ----- Ben Scott Research Assistant VR Juggler Team Virtual Reality Applications Center bs...@vr... Josh is just about to commit midworld to a dependency on the Loom AI library <http://ailoom.sf.net> Midworld will be dependent on version 0.0.2 of Loom. For those of you windows users, I added it to the zip of all Midworld dependencies which you can grab at http://isugamdev.sf.net/midworld/data/midworld-deps.zip For those of you Linux users, it uses an SCons build system.
