Release proposal:
When an istSOS developer, after a period of bug fixing or new features development, feels that is time for a new release.
He or she should propose to activate the relase process on the developer mailing list.
** Release candidate **
The istSOS Release Manager check the new code and merge the updates into the svn trunk and make a copy of the trunk into the branch folder. An approximate time table for the release is announced on the all mailing lists and a Release Candidate is released.
Testing
The new version shall be tested and only bug fixing shall be applied.
Up to now there is script that takes in charge software packaging. In short it compile javascript, remove all the unnecessary files and prepare a clean "service" folder. The ouput is the debian package, a compressed file with all the source code ready to be installed and the sphinx documentation:
