The istSOS project looks for students with data management skills and Python programming understanding, that want to develop extensions to support some of the ideas mentioned below.
Using the istSOS REST API is quite easy for a developer to implement web application using the capability of the istSOS Sensor Observation Service. But for beginners is quite difficult. The idea is to implement a lightweight JavaScript framework that will offer easy usage of widgets to be embedded in web pages. Modules like Maps, Charts, Grids will be implemented to fulfill this need.
The idea is to offer an easy way to produce and include in your Web site istSOS based data visualization tools.
