Alteration of due-date

Dear sirs
We have been trying out the issuetracker for a period
now, and are very pleased with the system. A minor
detail are bugging me though:
In our context it is super relevant to use the field
due-date, but is looks like it is only administrators
that are able to alter this field. I have tried to play
around with the permission-part but have not been able
to find anywhere that this can be configured.
Any good ideas or is it just not possible at the moment?
