#5 get rid of underscores

A lot of people use underscores in file names but don't
want them showing up in their id3 tags - it'd be nice if
you added functionality to remove these.

Also, I'd like to second the request for id3v2 tags.
Less important to me, but still a good idea.

I'd just like to second the request for underscore removal. Perhaps an even more flexible implementation would be a generic "character substitution" feature, which would allow the user to substitute a particular character for another particular character.
