Unable to upgrade to from 2.6.1 to 2.6.2.

There is no need for uninstalling 2.6.1 before installing 2.6.2. I have never seen that error message before. Is it possible, that you do not have write permission to the "plugins" directory (any longer)?
Googleing for that error took me to the following page where somebody described (most likely the same) problem:
Google search arguments: Eclipse "updates are not permitted"
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9925762/updates-are-not-permitted-in-eclipse-bug-or-feature
According to the “Effective Permissions” screen, I have full access to the folder. I am in the administrators group for the PC.
Sorry for the late reply. I was on vacation last week. Just to make things as clear as possible:
a) Is it correct, that the iSphere version number, displayed on the iSphere preferences page is 2.6.1? (Screenshot_A)
b) Is it correct, that the iSphere version number is displayed as 2.6.1 when you go to Help -> About and click the little iSphere icon? (Screenshot_B and Screenshot_C)
c) Is it correct, that the version number of the new iSphere plug-in is displayed as 2.6.2 and that the items are greyed out? (Screenshot_D)
The attached screenshots are created with version 2.7.0.b005 and therefore do not match what you should see.
No problem...I was out for a week as well.
You can close this ticket because I am no longer trying to do the upgrade to 2.6.2. However, I am now having a different problem.
I installed RDi v9.5 and Data Studio 4.1.2 in the same package group. Now when I try to install iSphere 2.6.2, I get an error message saying:
"No repository found containing: osgi.bundle,com.ibm.rational.clearcase.ccrefresh,7.6.2.v201301111453".
Should I open another ticket for this?...or would this be a Data Studio problem?
Has anyone else installed iSphere in an RDi 9.5 / DS 4.1.2 environment?
Thanks.
Most likely that is the very same problem as with ticket #19. Please make sure you have administrator rights when installing a plug-in. Another option is to install RDi 9.5 into c:\IBM...
That was it...thanks, Thomas. Once I started RDi as Administrator, I could install iSphere.
Problem solved.
