Hi, me two other developers have been using Ishpere for RDI for quite some time and never had any issues. We recently all got new laptops with RDI. I believe the directory (where the workspace) was copied over. The Isphere does not list the member information or seem to work with any Sisphere functions. I have uninstalled it, re-installed but still get the same result. This is true for the other developers as well.
Any thoughts on what I can check?
Thanks in advance

If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
Just to make sure that I correctly understood the problem:
* you got new laptops
* the RDi workspaces have been copied from the old to the new laptops
* iSphere does not show the member description in the "Remote Systems" view
* typical iSphere menu options are missing in the "Remote Systems" view (picture #3)
First I would check that iSphere is installed:
Go to "Help - About - Installation Details - Software" and "Help - About - Installation Details - Plug-ins" and check whether iSphere is shown. See pictures #1*.
Go to "Preferences" and check if the iSphere preferences are shown. See pictures #2.
If iSphere is properly installed, create a new workspace and check if iSphere works with it.
If that does not help, start RDi with the "-clean" option:
C:\IBM\SDP_096\eclipse.exe -nl en -showlocation -data workspace -clean
If that does not help:
uninstall iSphere
start RDi with the -clean option
install iSphere
restart RDi with the -clean option
Remove the -clean option at the end of your tests.
If nothing helps, install a second copy of RDi with its own and empty workspace, add iSphere and see if that works. If that works, copy your workspace to a new folder and switch the new RDi to it. If that works, use the new RDi.
So actually I only have two ides:
try to fix the problem by adding the -clean option
re-install RDi
You may also try to post a message to the WDSCI-L mailing list (https://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/wdsci-l). There are lots of iSphere users and some of them may have had more problem with iSphere than I. I did not yet had any problems with installing or updating iSphere.
