We've used phpmailer for the mail functions in ISPBill (and cwispy before it) for a while now, and it works nicely.
However, previous packages have included phpmailer. This means keeping up to date with phpmailer releases - which has of course been split between 1 version for php5 and 1 version for php4. Rather than include it, when its freely available for download, I intend to remove it in 1.0, and ISPBill will look for it in the system PHP lib folder. ... read more
So development took a slightly different course to that which I'd planned - rather than release an initial version with little changed from cwispy, most people have been getting it from CVS, and I spent some time fixing some bugs etc.
0.9 is now available for download - since I've spent time fixing things, it should be considered a beta to 1.0 (which shall be, as originally planned, a bug fix/finish of stuff already added release), however it should be sufficiently free of bugs to be usable in production until 1.0 arrives.... read more
Sadly cwISPy is now dead. Shane decided to close the project & so begins ISPBIll. ISPBill is intended to start where cwISPy left off - the base code is the last version of CVS from cwispy.
In the meantime, I've put up the last released vesion of cwispy (2.0.2). This is not an official release & is now no longer supported by Shane or the cwispy project. I will support it for now, but only until the next release of ISPBill when you should upgrade.
I'll be releasing a 0.9 version of ISPBill hopefully sometimes before, or perhaps over, the weekend. This will be largely based on the last CVS version of cwispy & will form the base of what will be ISPBill 1.0.
In 1.0, I will fix any known or found bugs, finish anything that's partially completed, and get it released.
