IMHO you should change the defaults for
generating REACHABILITY TLVs -
best current practise is some sort of
"compatible" mode where both old an
newstyle
IS-REACH TLVs (2,22) and
both old and newstyle
IP-REACH TLVs (128/130,135) are advertised;
it is important to clip the metrics of the wide
TLVs to 63 in order to avoid non-congruent topologies,
where some systems does not support any of the two;
---
optionally you should be able to turn one set of TLVs
off per level;
configuration syntax would be
level-1-metric-style small|wide|both
level-2-metric-style small|wide|both
at the isis router level;

Hi,
I agree with you on this, just that its
narrow|wide|both :)
But before that we need to actually be able to generate
the TE stuff, which will probably happen in the month,
anyhow added to the TODOs
Ofer.
