Sorry, just a clarification - this is because we're including the local 
libpci.h, so can't (reliably) link with the system's libpci. Is there 
any special need to distribute another version of libpci with maxinit?

Can we not just link with -lpci and get rid of the maxiniint/lib 
directory altogether?
