When editing a Collection, Anthology or Magazine that doesn't have pre-existing Contents, the default Title Type of the first new Contents line is ANTHOLOGY, which is pretty much always wrong and needs to be changed to SHORTFICTION or ESSAY. Editors often forget to change the title type, which results in messed up publications. We need to change the default value to SHORTFICTION.

Agreed, ANTHOLOGY as default is wrong and dangerous, especially for a real ANTHOLOGY - the software only expects one ANTHOLOGY content and hides any others, and not always the right ones.
One suggested improvement though is that while SHORTFICTION is safer for a COLLECTION, ESSAY might be more often correct for the first entry in an ANTHOLOGY. No idea what it should be for MAGAZINE though. NONFICTION should probably be ESSAY for all contents?
edit/editpub.py 1.4 committed for the original suggestion of SHORTFICTION.
Can discuss the others separately, e.g. OMNIBUS should have NOVELs in by default?
