#1658 Variant Titles: Fields that should not have values
Our Title records have a few fields that cannot have values if the title record in question is a variant. The current list of fields is limited to:

Series
Series Number
As per the outcome of the January 2026 Community Portal discussion (see https://isfdb.org/wiki/index.php/ISFDB:Community_Portal#Possible_FR_--_.22Variant_Titles:_Fields_that_should_not_have_values.22 ), we want to add the following fields to the list:
The 4 title "flags": Non-genre, Juvenile, Novelization, Graphic Format
Length (short story/novelette/novella)
Possibly Content (omnibus titles only)
Note that adding this functionality for "length" values will require changing the way the Content section of the Edit Publication data entry form works. Currently it lets you change "length" values for titles which only exist in the current publication. The logic will need to be expanded to disallow changing "length" values for variant titles.

In addition, the display logic will have to be adjusted to always get the flag and length values from the canonical record.
