When entering multiple editions of "Kinder- und Hausmärchen" by the Brothers Grimm, the system failed to do any automerges of the short stories in one edition with those in other editions, even when their titles were spelled identically. I suspect it is due to one of two possible sources: (1) The automerge could not handle the situation where there were more than 80 titles being presented to it; or (2) It failed because the titles were all in German, and it couldn't automerge one German title with another German title. [Note: It did NO automerges, I verified that it didn't do some and then stop.]
