It's possible to add a Variant Title to a Variant Title by using the "Add a Variant Title or Pseudonymous Work to This Title" option in the menu. This shouldn't be allowed since it lead to VT chains. The desired behavior is to have the VT point to the canonical title record. The main "Make VT" option already relinks grandchildren directly to their grandparents.
