Welcome to the iron bash mailing list. It may take some time for the 
other people I invited to the list to make the final leap and join, so 
let's be patient.

Here are a few goals I've been thinking about.
* Bash comparable dlr language for .net/mono
* *nux shebang '#!' compatible
* Focus on speed. Try to out strip the standard linux bash for speed.
* Caching of compiled scripts (latter goal)
* Include clr specific extensions to the bash so that it can access the 
clr libraries and types.
* Work out how to implement clr exceptions in a bash/sh compatible way.


Any other ideas?

We need to discuss what licensing to use for this project.  Personally, 
I'd love for this to be used in BSD and Linux which might mean a BSD or 
MIT/X11 style license.
