Maintenance and support

If you use Iris, you should expect to support yourself. You are welcome to modify Iris in any way you please to fit your needs. However, if you wish to benefit from future releases you should adhere to these guidelines:

• Develop features as drivers that can be loaded by the INI file and do not modify core components. Driver code should be self contained. In this way your changes won't be over-written when you pull in new versions from SourceForge.
• If you have made useful changes we will be happy to consider incorporating them into Iris. Please e-mail one of the admins. All changes should be implemented in a neat and modular way. We will not accept horrible monolithic sprawling VIs with long unlabelled wires, etc, etc. We currently work with LabVIEW 2012.
