[irda-users] PIC microcontroller communicating with SMSC Infrared communication controller

Hi,
 
I want to use a infrared controller from standard microsystems.

It has a databus. I guess I have to do parallel communications with the 
controller to transmit the data through it from PIC.
 
How can we do parallel communictaions with PIC.
 
Does any PIC has built-in parallel communication module like USART module for 
serial communications which can cause when transmission is done.
 
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
