I`m really impressed by linux-irda project. It works better than windows
irda stack (in my case).
Recently i bought hp compaq nx9105 notebook. Unfortunately IrDA didn't
work on linux, but after short search i found that it's because via-ircc
driver can't find devices, which aren't connected to PCI bus, but were
found by ACPI-PNP:
jachor@...:~$ cat /sys/bus/pnp/devices/00\:0c/id
On windo[w]s it appears as 'VIA Fast Infrared Controller', somewhere
it's also called 'ACPI/VIA3076'.
I attach simple patch against kernel 2.6.12, which makes it work on my
system. It's first driver I modified, so please double check it.
It needs dongle_id set to 9 (IBM 31T1100) on my computer.
