Apologies in advance if these are foolish questions.
I recently bought a USB infrared port. It is
called a MA-620, made by "Mobile Action
Technology", and naturally I want to get running
I'm not sure about the best way to go about
determining which driver to use (assuming that it
is supported at all). If I get the right driver,
is there any stage at which I should be seeing the
lights flash or some other indication that things
are going well without needing another infrared
device talking to it?
I've tried the usbserial module which seems to
find something (see extract from /var/log/messages
below), but I've no idea whether this is meant to
confirm that the device is really meant to be used
this way or whether it would respond in the same
way no matter what USB device is plugged in?
usbserial.c: Generic converter now attached to
ttyUSB0 (or usb/tts/0 for devfs)
Any help welcome...
