We have successfully used IRDA/irobex_palm3 for beaming acquired data to a central Linux machine in a process environment.

This machine runs a 2.4.0-test1/RTLinux3.0 combination and a Tekram 210B dongle at /dev/ttyS0.

However, during heavy activity by the real-time part (20 kHz tasks taking about 20/30%CPU), the IRDA link becomes increasingly sluggish and eventually fails altogether.

So my question is: How can I reduce the 115200 bitrate to for example 38400, which would be plenty enough for us?
