hi, i'm looking for the something for the linux server, to log the connections activity, like user log on and off, and view the traffic (download and upload). we used before ipsect/l2tpns and this was solve whit the CLI that give you l2tp. Now we are using ipsec-tools only, with the mode_cfg to give the network options. Ldap is used for the auth, so in the mode_cfg we are using accounting system, but only give us in the syslog "loggin on vpn0... and unlogging ..." Today we compile ipsec-tools-7.0 on linux debian 2.6.18-5-686 with the options: --enable-stats (enable statistics logging function) but i don't know how use this and neither were find more info about that.
