I'm sorry to inform you that a possible remote DoS hole was found in
racoon. It could be expolited with specially created IKE packets sent to
your VPN gateway. As a result racoon could eat up a lot of memory and
possibly be killed by the kernel OOM killer, leading to a DoS of your VPN.
The flaw was fixed in all CVS branches (0.2, 0.3 and HEAD) and
ipsec-tools 0.3.1 package was released. I strongly recommend everybody to
upgrade to this version.
