Could not set correct iPod size

After the stage of backupping, i press next and i get the following error:
'Could not set correct iPod size'
and then the installer closes.
I've got a 3 gen 20 GB iPod with firmware 2.2 on it, and it's has 10 gb of files on it (not all music of course). It is working fine on windows.

Does anybody know how to get rit of this error, or solve the proplem?

  2.2 firmware revision, model M9460LL, a lot of free space on the HD.

  I cant seem to find my ipod nano on my computer
