Then i was tryin to turn the ipod on but i got a folder with and exclamation mark
And when i connect it on my computer it now shows as a removable harddrive not as MY IPOD(the name and stuff)
under properties it shows 0 bytes of memory ./?
i cant seem to restore the ipod because it will not let me mount it and
i cannot seem to uninstall this because it is not being found as a drive
IF Anyone Could help Me It would be GREATLY APPRECIATED

format your ipod nano as you would do with a hard drive and the restore the ipod. worked for me when my install went wrong. also the ipod nano is not supported

I had a similar problem, and I was at a point where I could not even format the drive through windows. I had to download HP's "USB Disk Storage Format Tool" which allowed me to format the ipod and start over.
If you have a Nano (I have one myself), you should use the customized iPodLinux installer for the iPod Nano. It can be found at http://www.robotsuia.org/ipl241205.zip .
