[Ipodlinux-devel] Controlling iPod via Dock

Hello,

I'd like to know how to control the iPod via the Dock connector to get, 
for example, the recording mode -> AiR mode, or the current song 
which's beening played.
I'm finding a lot of explainations about which code is making what, but 
I can't find anything about the connection itself.
Is it in a bash shell???

I'm having a 1st generation iPod mini.
