[Ipodlinux-devel] Kernel Panic - Root FS

I installed linux on my ipod, and after several unsuccesful boots, I decided to ask the pros :)

When I boot, the kernel panics, not because of the lack of user tools, but it can't boot the root filesystem. I mounted /dev/sda2 , went to the mount point (/mnt/ipod) and unzipped "ipod_fs_030323.zip" when I do, it creates directory "linux", so i unmount it, reboot, and get the same message again: "VFS: Cannot open root device "hda3" or 0 3:03 Please append a correct "root=" boot option
kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 3:03"

My partions are the same as the howto partioning document says:

Also I am not sure as to how to mount the iPod as UMSDOS, I am running Fedora Core 1.90 on a 2.6 kernel...any help? -Thanks
