I want to install linux to ipod using=20= > OS X. Is there manual or something like that for OS X? What is ipod=20 > /dev/xxx represenation for ipod hard disk? I couldn't find it. under mac os x the first partition is /dev/diskXs1 which is the=20 partition map (where X might be 1 if it is the first device you connect=20= to your mac), the second partition is /dev/diskXs2 which is the=20 firmware partition and the third is /dev/diskXs3 which your music=20 partition (you can see here your mp3 files)... There will be soon a howto for mac os x (i'ill promise) but it still=20 doesn't work fine. > > Third question is will i be able to easily connect OS X and my linux=20= > ipod and transfer files between them? As I understand it is possible=20= > to create tools for iPod with Linux, isn't it? once mac os x mount your ipod, it is located to=20 /Volumes/Name_of_your_ipod and you can do all what you want.. > > Thank you very much! > Aidas > jc. > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials > Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of > GenToo technologies.
