You need to save your three partition using dd as describe in the howto.

under mac os x the first partition is /dev/diskXs1 which is the=20
partition map (where X might be 1 if it is the first device you connect=20=

to your mac), the second partition is /dev/diskXs2 which is the=20
firmware partition and the third is /dev/diskXs3 which your music=20
partition (you can see here your mp3 files)...
There will be soon a howto for mac os x (i'ill promise) but it still=20
doesn't work fine.

once mac os x mount your ipod, it is located to=20
/Volumes/Name_of_your_ipod and you can do all what you want..
